This blog journals my motorcycle riding adventures in Mexico.
Puerto Escondido |
So far, I have only traveled alone in Mexico, but I hope to find compatible riders that will join me in future rides.
I rode to Mexico in July of 2014 and again in May and November of 2015.
I was truly amazed at the riding in Mexico. The roads were much better than I expected. And the scenery was as diverse as it was spectacular!
Some of the most amazing experiences dealt with how I handled challenges. And fortunately, I have plenty of photos and video footage to better describe my adventures.
Here are a few of the things that I'll be covering:
- A wind storm nearly blew my tent away near the beaches of the Sea of Cortez
- I bribed a cop in Mazatlan (and recorded everything with spyware)
- In Puerto Vallarta, I was awakened in my bedroom by a one-eyed drunkard who was caressing my arm
- I rode tipsy to Guadalajara because I accidentally got drunk
- I almost ran out of gas in the remote mountains of Oaxaca
- After I filled up, the weather turned drastically, and my motorcycle got stuck in a mudslide
- I inadvertently scared the Mexican military when they thought I was a terrorist
While I found those challenges a thrill, I have to say that the vast majority of my time riding in Mexico was absolutely joyful!
I hope you will follow along as I post updates.
Roaring to ride,
TL
